Help, foolish beginner question!
Right, I kno this is a bit . . . . pathetic, but i cant seem to get the god damn standard gear knob off of the VTR. I tried reading up but all i can find is stuff about the plastic bit not actually removing the knob!
any help would be appreciated even tho its laughable haha

Try sticking it in 4th and pulling like youve never pulled before lol. Be careful not to hit your head on the roof though lol.

It does need a good ol' tug!

ok, heres the report lol. I whacked it in 4th, braced myself, put a soft hat on just in case. then proceeded to pull as hard as possible.
result! it did come off, but i still managed to punch myself in the face in the process.
