1.4 gearbox insted of vtr - Saxperience

Wud there be any gains in acceleration in using a westcoast gearbox on a vtr engine? my mate has a 1.4 gearbox on his 1.6 corsa and its much better acceleration than normal!

pug rallye 1.3 boxes are the best for acceleration i think mate, hard to dind though

if you want acceleration, put in a 1.1 box, you'll lose about 10mph top end but 0-60 will be very quick as i have a 1.1 on my westcoast lol!!!

and im not just saying this just that i have a spare 1.1 box

i thought id ask cos my headgaskets gone on my westcoast so id rather spend a little extra and get a vtr engine insted of having it repaired and use the 1.4 box cos thats been rebuilt few 0000 miles ago! see what happens now, cheers guys!
