Anyone owned a 106 1.1?
Has anyone owned a 106 Zest? I'm looking for a 106 with power steering but someone has told me 106s are light on the steering anyway, just wondered if this was true.

My mate had one which didn't have the power steering. Was pretty easy going tbh.

Also, a rev counter. I suppose I don't need one but I do like to see the revs I am pulling.

Ex girlfriend had one as her first car. Was brand new in 1998 and it was one of the frist cars I drove. Pretty sure it had pas. If not it was very light steering!

Thanks mate. Decided to go with a Peugeot 106 if I can for about £800.00 and then mod it with arches and skirts like the Quiksilver/GTi. At least then my insurance will be low and I would have done something myself. Now it's time to find one, if I can.

Well if the steering is light enough I will be fine. I'd like a rev counter though. Maybe being too picky.

I drove a 106 1.1 independence for 2 years, nothing ever went wrong with it, it had a twin exit pipe on it and 15" multi spokes in posi blue, looked and sounded mint, sold it for 1000 on an r reg with 63 000 on it, some 1 got a bargin, it had power steering but no rev counter!
