i went to wakefeild cruise last night,

all was well un-till bout 9ish when the rozzers turned up and told us we had 10mins to leave or we all be arrested.

no-one was doing any harm peeps where just looking at cars and there was a film crew there filming an stuff but they turned up and told us all to leave

IS'NT THERE ANY BURGLARIES OR ROBBERIES IN WAKEY THAT THEY COULD BE SOLVEING OR STOPPING

anyway thats my thoughts wot do you all think.

think i'll go to pontefract cruise this sunday

So you're off to a cruise to chill and chat. Then the rozzers turn up, and bring their toys..... including a video camera.

No doubt you're all aware that under the Data Protection Act of 1998 (DPA here, you can demand a copy of the footage in which you are recorded. This has to be done in writing to the relevant Police Station, and they have to comply within 40 days... its the law!

BUT.......
Whilst recently swatting up on the DPA.... I found that you can also issue the Police with a letter (in this section HERE, informing them that they are NOT to record you! PMSL! The only exeptions are if you are in the process of committing a crime, or they have strong reason/evidence to suggest you are about to commit a crime. Which, if you're parked up.... you're not commitin a crime... so they can not record you.... its the law!
You must do this in writing.

I am writing to request that under the Data Protection Act of 1998, subsection 10, part 1 b, I formally request with immediate effect, that you (the data controller in this instance) do not record pictures of me or my vehicle on any format of video storage system. I understand however, that under subection 10, part 2, you may record video footage if I am in the process of committing a crime, or you have strong reason/evidence to suggest that I am about to commit one.

For your information so that you are able to identify me and therefore not record footage of me, I am 5’14” caucasian, of light build, dark brown hair, wearing white Nike trainers, black jeans, and a dark hooded top with a grey logo on the front. My vehicle is a Blue Vauxhall Viva, VRM: A123BCD.

Under subsection 10, part 4, I am entitled to seek court action if you are found to be recording images of myself on any video retrieval system.

Hasn't pontie just split to two other sites just miles apart.
One of the YC lads spotted a load in a car park not too far from the usual site as he was on his way home after being turned away?

Did u see the dick smash into the lamp post the other week too?
I just spotted the vid on the website.

the pig where at the norm place in ponty,
but peeps was going to the racecourse over the road instead.
there was alot of cars by xcape too at the macy d's there.
then this lass did the rounds telling everyone to go to wakey so most did.

nope ive seen the same vid too but not actuall thing

Nah. Cars standard on steels so i'd only get severely mocked if i went. Just in contact with those on YC and a couple of mates that pop along every now and then.

) but i think ur attitude to the police gives them a reason not to like us lot... piggy faces... pigs etc i mean my dads a policeman but not one who drives round in a car n stuff he is a detective but still thats quite irrelavent but thing is the police themselves are doing there job... they dont jus drive past and go oh look a cruise lets go break it up or whatever the LAW of the country says theyre illegal jus like rape or burglary anyways thats my little rant over and i no it wont make me very popular or anything jus thought i shud stick up for them

its not that jonno its when they are telling us to move on when we just parked up and peeps drive up down showing there cars surely thats not breaking the law ?

i know wot your saying though there is the odd few that want to go there and cause trouble

i wasnt havin a pop at anyone in particular like jus think its more attitude towards them aswell... e.g u get pulled for speeding like say 5mph over the limit u have more chance of getting let off if ur nice with him than if u giv it all attitude and stufF
