Painting brake calipers
Thought i'd DIY an easy mod, got a posi blue sax, i think that red calipers would look good. anyone got any estimates as to how much the neccessary bits from halfrauds are gonna set me back?
Spoke to a guy in there today: just to check if he knows his stuff, said i needed...
rust remover (if rusty obv.)
wire brush
some sort of cover once derusted??
brush...
Something to degrease etc it (suggestions)
heatproof paint
primer
thts about all i can remember, if ive gone wrong anywhere please let me know!
Cheers, Jase

nah that's rubbish mate. All you need to do is wire brush them down to get rid of the loose flakes of rust. Make sure you are thorough on that part though, and then just brush the hammerite over the top.

you can get a very good finish with just brushing it on if you take your time. I used a tiny brush on mine and took at least 30 minutes on each side.
However, if you are impatient and dont have a steady hand then take the calipers off the car to do it
