depends how far you want to go. if you really want the head to flow well get a pro to do it as you need a flow bench etc to measure how it performs.

if you did want to have a go yourslef though you could have a bash with a dremmel.

go to a garage local to you that does tuning for any car model, they'll be able to sort the head for you for less money than you'll spend on new pistons, valves and a new head when you fuck up your own.....

the only way that is going to happen is if you allow metal particles to go into the combustion chamber. If everything is adequately protected the bigger risk is you will take off too much metal into one of the oil/water chanels or more likely just bodge the head, decrease flow and create a poor head that looses power

its probably here that you should stop. If you have no idea about even the tools then you're attempt at making any gains in headwork would be like pissing in the dark. Its not a simple case of opening it all out and making the inlet bigger. Bigger ports can slow down the air if opened up too much. The art is understanding where the air is stalling, bottlenecking, and helping the air flow through in the optimum way. This can all depend on the modifications to your engine like cam choice and whether you run throttlebodies etc.

Good luck whatever you do.
