Cat question - Saxperience

Will a mk1 cat fit a mk2 as not to sure if they are the same??

Mk1 or Mk2 what? Vts?

If so no as the mk2 cat for the vts has the hole for the lamda sensor where as the mk1 vts cat doesnt.

apart from the above ...

in terms of shape and fitment it will fit yer ... could just tie the second sensor up out the way as this is what people do when fitting a decat

dont know what a m.o.t will do for this though

ive just put an old MK1 exhaust on my MK2 VTR with the cat underneath for the mot. The cats exactly the same length as the 1 that was originally on mine.

Yeah its just the sensor!

But if you tie it up out the way make sure you get a sleeve or the engine management light will stay on!

I have got a vts mk2.I didnt think the cat had a sensor.and i have seen a cat for sale off a mk1 vts.So it will fit.Cheers for the help
