Default VTS Conversion - Help Needed !

Right i have a complete vts that im going to break so the engine is going in mine,

the car i have is a r reg vts mine is a 51 plate vtr

i can get everything out of the vts i need so im going to use the vts fuel tank etc so i can use the fuel return BUT :

do i need to do anything to my car before i swap the engines? ie do i need to run mine and unplug the imobiliser on my car?

i will most likely be using the vts key and igniton barrel and ecu etc and maybe even swap the dash into mine also

The vts i have has a keypad type imobilser which i wish to get rid of so is it just a case of running the Vts and then unplugging the keypad to do away with the imobiliser?

also if any1 has any pointer etc on doing the conversion it would be useful,

cheers guys

you cant use any of teh wiring or ecu. that will be a single plug and yours will be a 3 plug.

you could get some wiring diagrams and re-wire it all though.

and no, it still habs the immobiliser in the same place so that needs to be unplugged. the keypad is just a form of inputting the code, rather than a chip in the key.

you dont need a VTS tank, just the return pipe.

They made a couple of different tanks, so the way the fuel return pipe attachs may vary. However, at the end of the day its just a bit of pipe that allows the excess fuel back into the tank. When I do mine if the fuel return pipe doesnt fit my tank I will get some rubber fuel pipe and some jubilee clips.

williams how do i do away with the imobiliser on my car then and can i not use the part of the loom that goes from behind the dash, through the wing and to the plug by the battery instead of cutting and shutting,

ie use the whole vts dash dash loom so in essence replacing the whole front wiring with that off the vts?
