Default rant about direct line!

Ok so i waited 6 weeks for them to sort my pass plus out!

They finally send it me back... the dumb fu*kers decide they should add money to my policy instead of deduct!

So instead of my insurance being 90 this month its 130 :@ and theyve turned around and said well tuff doo doo what we will do is make ur installments for the rest of the 9 months cheaper for you... great... im a student now have an overdraft of 460 quid because of their cock up.

oh and a 20 minute time on the phone with about 3 minutes of actually talking to someone!

argh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You think Direct Line's service is bad? I'm assuming you've never spoken to Elephant via India

Are you sure you've read the small print correctly?

what you mean?

when i rang them up they had no idea why money was taken out, they put me through to a special department... they spent ages then came back to me saying "we have added 250 to your policy instead of taking it away, its a computer error, we are sorry and will refund the money through the monthly installments"

was going to ask them for extra due to 20 minute pointless phone conversation. Now i wish i said to them im apsolutely appauled blah blah, as payment insure me on a VTS for the same money!

*dreams*

Oh I see. Tbh, there must be a little more to the story?

I can't see if they made a mistake like that, why they'd give the money back to you via reduced monthly installments. If they've debited your account with the incorrect amount, then have it refunded via the way they took it!?!

But it was their fault so they should foot the necessary charges. It's not your fault they fcuked up. You want the money back, which they took out.

You said that you've also been put overdrawn... that means you'll also get charged by your bank. Because it was your insurance companys fault, then they should also foot that charge.

Have to agree with DevilDamo, they should be paying you the money straight back instead of the installments and you should ask for money for the call and bank charges and if they refuse on the phone, put it in writing to them.
