Auto Glym Glass Polish
Used it today, thinks its good, but states gets the grease off the windows.
But when using the wipers before there is now more smears when using them
Have i not buffed it off enough or what?

Most window cleaners do this... i think it is the rain repellant in them.. so when they get wet the water is spread across the window and it takes awhile for it to disappear.... so it looks smeary..
Lots of people have recommend rubbing newspaper over windows as it makes them shiny and removes any grease.. never tried it myself

fast glass and newspaper works a treat, however i found last time that the water was smearing for a few wipes but then it was fine

use the polish, it is good, but on one condition- that you use it very very tightly, litterally use less than a pea size blob on a microfibre cloth and wipe in a circular motion on to the window and leave for no more than 10 seconds after covering the whole window- almost straight away wipe off with the clean side of the microfibre.
Btw, microfibre doesnt have to be one from an automotive company, they rip you off, you can pay £10> for one or roughly £1-2 for a three pack at tesco, that are exactly the same- they are always lint free which is the important bit- trust me on this one its just good marketing on their part- ive have tried it and it doesnt produce any scratches.
Also, dont polish windows or the car in the sun or when its even ever so slightly damp.

I bought some from ebay, and after the first wash they inflicted lots of swirl marks!!!!. Not too bad, polished out easily. Jusy pissed me off and caused me a few hours more work!
After an investigation it was the edges of the cloth i accused, had like a thick fishing line type of fabric holding the stiching together so watch out for that!!!!!!!!!
