BT Homehub
We have got the bt home hub, and i can access the internet through it wireless, and my sister has it connected to her laptop but through the usb lead.
However every time i want to use the internet i have to run the instalation disc and go through all the stages for it to connect because it wont save the settings or the account settings. I am entering the settings exactly the same as when i set up my sisters settings on her laptop..
Getting a bit annoyed with it, rang BT up hundreds of times, everytime spoken to india and not had any luck with solving the problem, even had that remote assistance thing go on and still nothing.
Anyone got any ideas why it wont recognise the settings?
thanks

i dad to do away with the disk and just set up the ting direct, with the ip adress and shizzle.
the windows xp network stuff should recognise it and get you to insert the network key, then it saves it.
that works just fine for me, and in the house there is 2 on wireless and the xbox on ethernet

If your running any other internet connection monitoring progs like windows network monitor (the standard one) only if your using one with bt then they will corrupt each other.
i have this problem using netgear/windows and bt homehub.

i found the bt software just didnt work,
just close the bt software and it will say in bottom right that there is wireless networks.
click on it.
then put the wep key in and tick the "save wep key"(i think it says that, if not something similar)
and away we go.
