Noise!!!
I've just set up my speakers into my amp but when i turn the engine I get a sqeaky noise, very thrustrating. I have checked the ground and whereva i put it it does not stop. The phono leads are also running seperatly to the power cable. I even got a filter that you put the phono leads in and then plug into the amp but still problem.
Can anyone help please??
Thanks

have a look in the FAQs
there is no best place just as long as its on the chassis and the paint is ground down to the metal

I have got the earth in a good place. I've rubbed down the paint and drilled a hole in the boot and earthed to a bolt through that.
Anyone know any other suggestions?

where exactly is it earthed mate, could be earthed in a place near a power wire which in turn could cause interference

Its earthed in the boot near no wires. Im starting to think its the amp cause its a cheap one i got off ebay 'silversonic'. But it worked fine in my old car. Hmmm any ideas why this is.
