Default Advice Please

i was driving around today and i noticed my temp needle was at 3/4 and stayed there,

i got home and check the oil for milky water/oil - nothing.

looked at the coolant bottle on the side of the rad and it was leaking out of the top, i opened it and there was no pressure. i then checked the water and it was a dark cream colour,

is this head gasket or time for new coolant ?

And help please

Chris.

If you're getting oil leaking into the coolant, it's likely that you have a possible head gasket issue...

i thought that coolant water was often that colour beacuse of the rust inhibitors etc? take it to a garage if your stumped for a cause of the high temp. 3/4s isnt too bad though.

just been out to have another look and there is oil leaking from the left hand side front, (Cam Belt Side) of the engine in between the block and the head

there is also lots of oil down the front of the engine from this leak.
