yes mate...did that to my vtr, sounded like a fookin' beast, I never had any problems whatsoever, just wish my vts was as loud now. Had a k&n panel filter in there for good measure to.

i have done this to mine by accident mind as i tool the air filter off to pull the amp wire through and i lost the rubber washer thing
it only sounds louder at 4k revs though

its a resonator box. if you remove the box and rubber thing, so its just a big hole its loud as fook, it sounded exactly the same as when I had a pipercross induction kit fitted, only without the power sapping...

depends....its only that exact air box setup that you can do that to. My VTR was a 2001, I think that setup was only on VTRs around that year

just noticed yours is a 1.0l, will deffo not be possible, its only VTRs that have this setup, possibly 1.4s but I doubt it
