smoke your headlights, that wont effect insurance.
theres a guide on here somewhere but basicly stick a headlight in the oven (bulbs removed of course) then when its hot enough pull the glass off the backing (remove clips 1st tho)
the chrome trim can then be removed off the backing and spray it black. heat the base up again and stick the glass back on. then put clips back on.
could trake rear wiper off to. not sure on insurance but as its not a vital bit then i dont think it would effect insurance

i was thinking of that but someone told me that it is very likely to get condensation and water leaks
have you done it?
if so how did yours turn out?

yeah i did it. turned out fine. just make sure when you seal it back up seal it proper, maybe even stick some clear silicone around the joint and that will prevent any condensation happening.
iv got angel eyes tho now, much better

Looks pretty tidy mate, not usually a fan of mk2's but I love all flatty's! Get some mirror caps to match I did it to mine and it made a huge difference to the general appearance of the car!
Smoke the rear lights with some tinting spray, easy and cheap!
I wouldn't bother with a vtr / vts exhaust... you won't benefit from it and it won't look any different, get a non-standard exhaust if you're going to, or if you don't want to affect your insurance I picked up a 'chromed exhaust tip' off ebay for a couple of quid when I couldn't afford a new exhaust or backbox and it looked much better!
Oh, and if you tint your rear lights try something like this too... Tinting the side repeaters, simple but effective.
Thus is the chromed exhaust tip I had... (Actually got mine from Poundland!)
Hope this helps.
