Gojka's Icelandic Grey vts now gone :( replaced with an AVUS blue BMW e36 328 sport :) page 4
Right everyone, after owning my black MK2 vtr for just over 2 years, I decided it was time to move to the 16v, after looking on the net I came across it on autotrader, the car was from a kia main dealer, 03 plate vts, 75k on the clock, I so went to arrange a test drive, the next day me and my dad went back to take it for a spin, first impressions the bodywork had a couple of tiny dents, nothing major and the passenger door handle was a slight different colour, the car was standard apart from an air horn and a 60mm spax front springs and spax shocks all round with the back lowered to match, keen to take the car out the dealer pulled the car out, as I drove up the road, I noticed the clutch was slipping and the gearbox was making a noise in first second and third, other than that it was mint, I then put down the deposit under the condition that the clutch would b sorted (wasn't sure about the gearbox at the time, thought it may have been the release bearin/) I was told it would take a week or 2 before I could collect It because I had to wait for my private plate off my vtr to be changed onto the new car, during this time I then received a few phone calls from the garage saying they had run into a few problems the rear axle had gone and powersteering fluid was leaking badly, luckily the car had warrenty on it so a fully recond axle and steering rack had to be fitted, along with the new clutch kit, finally got the call a month after putting down the deposit saying the plates were changed and had passed the mot, so I piked it up and here is how it looked.............
After pickin up the car I noticed the noise from the gearbox was still there and the clutch still slipped ( nowhere near as bad as when I was I first drove the car.) I also notice the out cv on the passenger side had come off, not good really, So I rang the garage told them about the gearbox issue. And driveshaft, they said bring it back which is what I did then a week and a half later I went back to pick it up, had a new driveshaft and recond gearbox with a 1 year warrenty on it so I was over the moon, the next step was to start modding. So I started to strip down my vtr of its mods and started work, carbon wrapped bonnet went on, swapped the standard back lights for my smoked ones and the black inserts and 6000k H.I.Ds, and wind deflectors and raceland filter..........
The next thing was to get the back lowered again due to the new rear axle, and make a start on spraying my baby blue S rims a new colour, I would of used the silver 1ns that came on the car but I'd just had 4 toyos fitted a few weeks earlyr, so rattle cans at the ready I started work........
Wheels and lowering done I decide to spray my old strut brace too
I then fitted some vt? Badges, and a piper 3inch inward rolled decat system, and here is how the car stands at present............
And that's it so far, unfortunatly I'm off the road at the moment but I will hopefully be back in time for FCS, so everyone what do ya think

Ye true I do like the silver wheels but I decided to do something different again lol, as for the exhaust it sat lower than that on my vtr, although its in a list of things to sort out, first thing I need to sort out is replacing the cracked windscreen, bloody stone chips haha

UPDATE! today i decided to spray some more parts of my car yellow i did the rocker covers and the single fan and i also painted the outline of the 16v on the top of the inlet manifold, i will post some pictures shortly, next thing on the list is to get another fan and a stainless manifold, undecided on which 1 to get, thinking a 4-2-1 over the 4-1? i have been told that the 4-1 is more top end power and the 4-2-1 is more mid range. just undecided on which 1 to get....

i had the bionnet just before xmas on my black vtr so i decided to put it on this 1, i still have the original bonnet so if i may change it over in the future, at least this way the icelandic bonnet is not goig to suffer from stonechips
the colour scheme is really starting to grow on me now, i was going to go with the anthricite wheels and other detailing but then idecided to go a bit wild to stand out a bit more like i did with my vtr

yup i sure did mate, thank god for main dealer warrenty hahaha tbh i think they wud of made a loss with the work that was done if you include the labour costs aswell, the reason they replaced the rack was because powersteering fluid was pissin out everywhere, still was after they put it on, it was 1 of the pipes that were leaking (common MK2 problem iirc) so that got replaced by me and my dad at the cost of a 5er lol

Personally I think you've ruined that. It looked better before you meddled with it.
Nice to hear about the garage sorting all the problems out though! At least thats 2 of the biggest jobs out the way.
