Default Drift Trike Build! FB Page Vids n Pics

Though I would throw us something a lil different

Well for those who dont know what it is ....

basically its riding a trike down a hill getting sideways and tryin not to crash

so i had a go on a mates n thought i was time i built my own

this is what it started off life as

this is my mate riding it hes about 6,2

then chopped a few bit for the first time of skidding

few rubbish pics from its first outing (kiddie spec)

and crash

split wheel

The i set about extending the frame used a bit of scrap pipe off a cement mixer

bodged a bracked to hold it

then i picked up a bmx bike frame for peanuts got the grinder out again chopped it an it looked like this

got it bolted up on the front

and added pegs in the front and a brace

anyways all stripped down and prepped to be welded by my mate

comment always welcome!

if u wanna build one youtube n google are you best friends

you dint have to source a trike
if you have a welder you can jus make a rear axel from any metal
best ones to use are razor screamer i think but if u jus google kids trike or ebay/gumtree you will get one for cheap i only gave £10 for mine

youtube drift trike build theres loads of differernt ways to get started jus pick what you have already lol

Default Finished time to weld

Anyways I had to fine tune the trike lol

My pneumatic wheels came and I got thos fitted ASAP with the help of some repair washers

Pumped them up and it rolls epically now bearings

Camber

All was gd but it was jus too long so I chopped out a section from the centre n redrilled bits so I cud put it back together

Much better smaller

Got it finished n welding tomorrow but may venture for skids tonight

Brace

Lots of ground clearness now

Comment pals as always
Enjoys

Do you guys know nothing?

You deflate the tyres then fit some pvc drainage pipe over the tyres then re-inflate them.

Looks good mate I will be building one in the winter at work.

PVC tube on the out side of the rubber tyre!

so jus deflate the tyre a lil bit slip over the pvc sleeves and then pump them up the contact between the rubber and the pvc with the pressure from the tyre ensure they wont come off

and on tarmac there is hardly and grip between that and the pvc causing the back to drift out

does that answer it?

its quality jus a massive load of fun

and lso the best things in life were wen we were kids now it time to make thos things faster and increase the chance of injury lol
