The Plan.
Well in a nutshell I want to produce a 200bhp n/a 1.6 to use on track and on the dragstrip. Being a n/a 1.6 means I have a decent chance of dominating group a.
How will I get 200 bhp?
I plan on copying a guy on RR and using the 185bhp Civic Type R EK9 B16b lump with throttle bodies and standalone ECU.
The saxo:
I plan on keeping the saxo looking totally OE from outside but there will be mods if you look closely enough: It will have carbon bonnet and boot to match the roof (but will all be painted apart from a stripe of carbon you will be able to see through the paint going straight over the car), VTR rims, VTR side badges, polycarb windows all round, single lightweight bucket seat and so on.....
We will see the return of M8X DJ, which has been on retention since selling my other car.
I will also source the lightest possible components and ditch every square inch of unwanted metal, wiring loom, etc etc.
PS, I will also start work on it in the new year when it's on home turf.....

Cheers peeps.
Hoping to see mid-high 13s on the dragstrip and a 0-60 of around 5-5.5s

Sounds like a good project Craig. Will be watching.
Carbon roofs are sexy. And very light. But mainly sexy

why vtr rims tho craig? crap for cooling, and cant use BIG breaks without using spacers which is gay.
Fair enough, sounds like its going to be a proper jobbie, something i really want to do once im settled back in the UK!
