Iv just been pulled over for my Dubmister plates :O
Was coming home from work just now and undercover BMW police car was following me for ages then eventually pulled me over. Got out the car and the guy said, reason iv pulled you over is these number plates. The pressed German? ones, they are not road legal.
Anyway I then pointed out and explained that they are the UK font, they carry the manufactures, name, postcode and number for supplying them etc. Anyway he looked at them for abit before concluding that he'd never seen any that had all the numbers on it and was really confused as to weather he could write me a ticket for them.
He then took the website address and the plate numbers and said he's going to look into it and let me on my way.. Was rather strange, but was a really nice guy and said my car was a really nice example of a saxo and was saying about some of the states of cars he's pulled over.

Top Banana. Youd expect traffic cops to know about the legal version of these plates about seeing as they wanna clamp down so much on them.

Yea thats what I was saying to him and he was agreeing, but he was just saying he'd never seen a set of pressed ones with stamps on them.

as said british standards number is in the bottom corner, postcode is on there too making them perfectly legal, i bet dubmeister get quite a few calls about it tbh, i honestly thinks this is why they hardly answer the phone
but with it going through british standards they really cant do sweet fa about it

if they have any other country on them than the gb sign on the left side they are illegal.
they can have the legal parts on the bottom but if they have the wrong country they are illegal

They are reflective. Dubmister plates are fully legal. They have the bs mark, post code and all other required number/siymbols. As long as the plate does not display F for France, for example, then it is legal. It can have the EU logo or GB or be plain.
The writing must also be in standard font.

I had a major battle with the police over the size of the plates on my evo eg. front plate in this pic was tiny but legal for imports. they are like gistapo
after alot of hassle , even down to the markings on the exhaust pipe & noise from it.
I won ! they were mega pissed
