Helloooo Sax-P =D

Sorry for the week and a bit wait, haven't been able to upload any pictures to Photobucket for a few weeks so here goes;

Goodbye to my old VTR, It was hard letting you go, but it was for the best;

Im the new owner of Tom's 106 GTi.. The Spec;

Cams, apparently! *But will make sure when the new Engine gets built for it*
Half Leather interior *Mint Condition*
Some sort of momo racing steering wheel *Swapping for Standard Steering wheel soon*
Induction kit / oil filter
4-1 manifold
De-Cat
Loud ass exhaust
16" Nimrods in white

Lowered 60mm front and about 100 at the rear
Front spliter
De-Badged boot
CD Player & 6x9's *Waiting till payday for them to go*
Clifford alarm

Pictures;

Cannot get it in and out of my drive without it scraping!

*Front Bumpstrips are in the Boot, Need to spray them soon*

The Plans

- Jenvey Throttlebodies
- Engine Re-wiring - Looks like its had a homemade bodge atm Done

- Fix that damn oil leak! Done
Rebuilding another 16v Engine I have at the moment. Should be fitted by Feb 2011. Given that away to DB_Sax

Exterior;
- Raise the rear for it to sit level
- Paintwork needs sorting
- Stonechips on the bonnet
- Alloys flaking a tiny bit Gone

*Maybe: If I have enough spare money floating around next year, respray time*

Interior;
- Replace the Steering wheel with a Standard one OMP Corsica

Im waiting for a pay rise before most of these plans get done, struggling for money with the 3k Insurance lol

Ive tried 2 other Oil caps but with no luck

I love this car, still need to take it out to drive, pay day is close so I can finally put petrol in it

Just a bit too low at the rear though the front sits perfect. Can't believe Tom never had that bay clean

Induction wise im not sure what to do, throttlebodies seem too much for me at the moment, I would wan't a nice and healthy 150bhp out of the car by going for cam's etc first. Bodies on a standard engine won't be as powerful?

Painted cam covers? or polished? Difficult decision..

Got any pictures of your old Saxo's engine bay?

Oh, I couldn't find Engine bay pics in your progress thread, thanks for posting these

I will be staying with the old style 16v covers instead of the C2 covers, wan't to keep the bay 'Original' I think the word i'd use

Are the BMC's good? been told by a guy locally that they are, but iirc they ain't as good as they are made out? I was thinking K&N Gen II as an upgrade in Induction for a while.

I think it was good especially once the cold feed was fed straight onto it.

Have to agree with what some others have said about the rear being too low. Other than that there is nothing i can fault, love this car mate!
