If anyone would kindly shed some light on how to remove these bolts to remove my old speakers? It's like totally round, I'm so lost

You could hack the CIA and use their Starwars Satellite to burn them out if it's in the correct orbit, or as Mick says, a drill

drill out (piece of piss should take seconds) and once the speaker is out you can go get the bits fallen behind. I remember the initial shock when I dismounted those the very first time. Plastic baskets lol.

Got to replace one of the speakers in my doors. Buzzes like fook at higher volumes. Anyone know where to get replacements which will fit?? Thought about the scrappy but there's the gamble of whether they're working or not.

it's because of the plastic baskets, they're just rubbish. Almost any 13cm / 5.25 inch will fit bar ones that are deeper (large/deep magnets).

At the scrappys, to check if they're working or not: just take a 1.5v AA battery and a bit of wire with you, test on location.

As for new speakers if you're on a budget then buy jbl speakers.

Ahh , you misunderstand,,, A 1.5v battery will tell you if the speaker coil is in working order, but won't let you know whether the speaker will buzz/vibrate at louder volumes. At present , my speakers are working, but one has this bassy, distortion at higher volume levels. (possibly the speaker cone that's going)

if the cone has any apparent problems then it's the cone. Otherwise the coil might be half fried (seen it before), as in still working but will distort at higher volumes.

now if you're buying scrappy or second hand, the AA battery is here to confirm the electricity is going through or not. Beyond that you can check the speakers cosmetics, any defect is a no-no. Coil damage is very rare tbh, and you're not taking that much of a risk buying from the scrappys as you'll spend around a fiver. I'd be more concerned about mould/damp, though I have seen scrappies who dismantle and stock their parts indoors. Depends what you can get in your area.

as above if on a budget, get some JBLs and you'll get enough value for money, they're hardly bankbreakers.

Buy a rivet gun of eBay, mine was £7 delivered I think.. That way you can rivet your new ones in again, it will minimise the chances of them rattling around.

You just get a round nail, and put it in the hole and unscrew them..
