Awkward eBay buyer
To cut a long story short I sold an iPhone on eBay, fully described the phone and mentioned that it had marks on the phone.
The buyer received the phone today and asked for a partial refund due to a 'dent on the top of the phone'. Even though I had described that there was some marks on the phone. I gave him a partial refund of £10 as a good will gesture.
Now he is saying that he may contact me tomorrow and send the phone back along with all the money. Am I within my rights to stick two fingers up and walk away, especially considering this hole transaction was done outside ebay and the monies was sent 'to a friend' via paypal.

Outside of eBay, by friend. Fuck him unless you have a nervous conscious.

My thoughts exactly. Only thing he has done is put the ebay add number in the 'notes' of his paypal payment.

The description mentioned marks on the phone side, he is claiming a small 'dent' of which he has sent a picture to me, in all honestly its so small I didn't even notice it, but I sent him the £10 as a good gesture.
The add did state that I accept returns.

If he bought it outside of eBay and he paid by friend then I'd just leave it personally.

Wasn't sold through eBay, was advertised on eBay.

So you saved on ebay fees and were prepared to accept returns anyway? What's the problem if you were already willing?
