This car is now dead.
Parts that will be for sale in the coming weeks are:
Debadged boot with blank for washer jet.
Original boot with one small dent.
Plain black front and rear doorcards.
Euro style rear lights.
Gaz Coillies (As long as they arent damaged from crash)
3 maybe 4 newly refurbed VTS wheels.
3x 195/45/15 tyres two 5mm hankooks, 1 6mm michelin.
Gti Half Leather interior.
Rear bumper.
Ashley 3" backbox maybe with standard centre section
Maybe some other parts, once I take a proper look and see what isnt damaged.
Will put up prices once i get a thread up in for sale section.
Cheers, Josh.

Going round a right hand corner on a b road/country lane. Wasnt concentrating nearly as much as i should of been, went wide and left wheels got caught in a fairly deep rut where road meets the bank. Tried to steer out of it and overcorrected while also breaking and I think most people know what happens when you break on a corner..Oversteered onto the other side of the road and my passenger side front part of bonnet/arch met with a vauxhall agilas bonnet. So my car spun out back onto my side of the road.
I wasnt speeding and the police analysis of the crash said i wasnt either, however i fully admit the crash was my fault for driving without due care and attention.
I broke my wrist and the passenger of the Vauxhall may of broken/fractured their hip bone.
Needless to say I've never felt this bad about anything before
1) For the people I crashed into
2) My pride and joy went from almost complete to a wreck in a matter of seconds
3) My wrist hurts
I'll get some pictures up of the car on Sunday when I go and check out what I can salvage.

You still going to be in the saxo scene or moving on?
I know most people after such experiences move on from Saxos

not sure yet man, with the amount its going to cost with this claim i cant see myself being on the road till october
plus i'd rather wait and buy a fairly tidy car than rush it and spend £400 on a piece of shit that needs £1000 worth of work doing.

Nightmare mate. I wrote my pride and joy off 3 years ago and I was in bits with minor brain damage from the air bag so I couldn't sleep or make decisions for weeks so consider yourself lucky you have only minor injuries!
Is none of it salvageable to make some money back for yourself to help towards costs?

Cheers Grant. It's only starting to sink in that a few seconds of not paying attention has caused this. So many "What if" scenarios floating round my head. Yeh for how the car looks I was lucky to just have a broken wrist.
I know how you feel Sinque, its just a waiting game too for me too find out what the consequences are going to be. If I get 6 points I have to retake my test as I passed just over a year ago.

Yehh, never ever braked on a corner before, just one lapse of concentration and this.
I gotta check they are intact first, already got a few people interested so they will be up in the for sale section in a couple weeks.

Yepp, i was out with my mates lastnight that came lakeside with us that time, even they were gutted for you. And i know what you mean man, i've had a few close calls just because of a moments lapse in concentration. Obviously i have no idea how the car looks though lol.. is it a headlight to windscreen style smash? If so i cant imagine the coilovers are too salveagable
May be interested in your boot and doorcards though mate if it'll help you re-generate some funds!

Yeh its that kind of smash, however the coillies look in one piece from what I could see, we are going to look properly tomorrow.
It will be another week or so until I take the car apart, gotta check with insurance that they are happy for me to start removing parts.

Shit sorry to hear about the crash mate.
I had a crash in my furio, in the lanes with a caravan. Fucking heart braking isn't it !
I absoloutley loved my car ! Being my first car, i spent all my time in it, cleaning it, putting little mods on it then bam, its all fucked !
You re-live it so many times its unbelieveable.
Keep your chin up mate, I was down in the dumps for 6 months, off the road for 8 due to the insurance.
All the best. Keep us updated.
