That's not so bad then.
I remember my sunroof seal had shrunk and just kept popping off.
I used someone to hold it in place whilst i shut the sunroof..
Did the trick until my mate mashed up the mechanism whilst the sunroof was wide open...

we shall see how my repairs have done. In the mean time as got the interior out. iv started hammeriting everything taht had got wet as it had started rusting in some places.

not sure if ill do the front yet as its taking ages and might be a bit pointless. going to try and get the headliner back in tomorrow and then just pop the 2 front seats back in temporarily til lippy can come on friday and wire in my amp and stuff.

Looks mush better bud, imo the front is the most important place to paint as thats where the water was sitting for the longest and rusted the worst, I did 2 coats on the areas you have done so far, covered a treat!
Friday I might need to be doing my amp rack on the roof as I was supposed to get it done last friday but was helping adz, but il let you know!
You could remove all the stuff in the new car and the old car to get the ball rolling then I can start with a clean slate so to speak

EDIT : Didnt you want 4 gauge power cables before it goes back in still for 2 amps?

im going to do front tomorrow
let me know asap man, cus i might need the car on saturday to drive to cardiff, so would be a plus if theyre was a stereo in. but i dont want to put you out.
yeah i did want 4 gauge power cable, so thats new rather than swapped from other car. but i can take out the front comps, crossovers, amp, and stereo, anything else i need out?

Im going to re fit the roof lining tomorrow and then pop the front seats in temp so the car can be driven, but like i said i could do with the stereo if im driving to cardiff saturday, but anyways let me know!

Update!
So after a day or 2 of sealing, plugging, swearing and negotiating, i got the car back together. Or back together enough to drive it. Its got no stereo AT ALL! Or rear Bench, but one step at a time!

Hoping the leak is fixed for now.

So Onto next things, Iv been looking at options for my dials.

Plasma Dials or MK2 Digi Dials with Blue LED's??

Plasma Dials From Visual Performance

LED Plasma Dials (Credit To Lippy For Pic )

Im not sure, i like the Visual Performace Plasma dials But they look a bit crap when theyre not lit. Theyres a bit too much blue on them,

but then the problem with the MK2 digi dials is that its a lot more work to swap over the wiring. I do have a guide however, but there are a few grey areas in it that arent very clear.

Cost wise it will probably cheaper to do the digi dials and swap for blue LED's, but may not work completely.

So you decide!

I would go for the standard ones.. look cleaner when they're not lit..
Thinking of changing the colour of mine to red to match my stereo...
It would be a lot more work with the wiring and everything though..

Also if you want some Mk2 dials.. the ones i have are between 60-70k miles i think..

yeah true, someone on here does MK2 digi dials to the mileage you want, but its £50 delivered, and thats more than the plasma dials straight away!

so still not sure. not getting anything yet. hopefully gettng a new centre console and heater vents in next week or so. then going to start small, swap LED's for the rear heater button, then maybe fag lighter etc

I really wanted plasma dials tbh! It was when I saw Pred's ones but they dont look very clean imo, bit messy/confused looking??? maybe just me
Cant you save some pennies and just swap over dials with roughly the same milage as your car has and go from there? I say that but im sure I know who you might be asking to do the SMD's wiring which is an arse lol

Update Time!

Lets look back at my list a page or so ago of things i needed to get done this week...

- Sunroof is fixed, i think, hasnt leaked in days, but we'll see!
- Decided Im just going to get an alarm instead of getting the remote fixed as it will cost about the same and ill have an alarm!
- Still need to do the morettes, quite high on my list now.
- Iv put the green filter on the raceland, but need to nab 2 brackets of lippy so i can attached the housing properly.
- Hoping Lippy may pop over later today and finish off the amp wiring for me, but as pictures will show, HU is in, poor pods are on and theres a big jumble of wires!
- And finally, car still needs cleaning, but the weather is so crap at mo, ill only do a light clean.

Pics!

...clean

...carpet back...

...door pods on (and 1.1 door cards)...

...jumble of cabling...

...and the rear bench is back in, but photobucket is being a douche and messing with my pictures...but you all know what it looks like...

Hoping some more updates audio and lightin wise fairly soon!
