Cheers man, yeh I know, I was pretty lucky tbh.
I think if I do get another saxo it wont be till November/December and it will have to be another Furio. Will go for either blue, silver or icelandic grey.
If I dont get a saxo then I'm swaying towards a C2, as long as you get them low enough then they look cool, and they can pull off 16" wheels, which opens the door to so many more wheels than the saxo.

I'm probably going to need to cut up the front passenger arch to get the wheel off and get to the coilovers, as you can see, its doubtful that the passenger side survived.
My drivers seat has collapsed one side, the whole dash has moved a couple inches backwards and the glovebox is now almost vertical when you reach into it. There is a dip all the way around the sunroof where the whole car has twisted slightly.
The wheel that took the impact is also kaput.
I'll be stripping the car for anything that is worth anything next week, then once I've decided whether or not I'll be eventually getting another saxo, I'll put a forsale thread up with remaining parts.

Pics like this make me want to move to a safer car lol. i mean just look at it.

I know. I didnt grab a picture of the other car. (10 reg Vauxhall Agila) but the damage to the front would of made it just a tad past the point of Cat C tbh...that is until the fire fighters cut the roof off it. (They didnt want to risk any injuries when getting the elderly lady out as she said she had pain in her hip).

Yeh man, the way the car looks pretty mangled. I might get a couple pictures of the corner because it's quite hard to explain it. My seatbelt tore through my shirt!
My drivers seat has completely collapsed on one side so I cant sell that. I dont hold much hope for the coilovers, but the shocks and springs should still be ok as they are pretty strong.
I'll be putting some final ASW pictures up in a day or two, then I'll let this thread dissapear into the depths of sax-p. Dont really want to dwell on it much more. But I'm sure a newbie upping his post count will bump it up in 5 years time!

Mate I'm surprised and also very bloody glad you're ok minus the wrist! I know I said before but now seeing the pictures of the damage it's even worse than I expected! You are very lucky to get out of that with such a minor injury! Someone is clearly looking out for you up there!!

Yeh man, Rich (who was with us up lakeside, and helped out with my car alot) has a quiksilver and has a load of parts waiting to go on, so it should be low on starmag 2's by FCS. Until I get a car sorted I'll be in his car.
Car wise, whenever I can get one I'll probably either get another saxo, a C2 or a 1.4 or 1.5 honda civic.
Will probably stay French tbh, the civics are just wishful thinking!

I know man, however the interior doesnt look nearly as bad, most of it became unclipped from whatever it was clipped too, but nothing moved in a dramatic way which could cause serious injury to anyone in the car. I think thats because I we collided at a slight angle (their badge pretty much made contact with my passenger side headlight, so we both spun off in relative direction, meaning the force didnt all go straight through the car. But yes, I was pretty dam lucky!

Yeh about that, Police analysis indicated both cars were travelling within the reigon of 30-40mph. I expect we were both at about 35mph.
On a another note, may aswell type it now that im writing on here...
A guy from Quinn insurance came round today for the statement and to talk to me about it. He said he wouldnt be suprised if the police take 6 months or even as long as a year to get in touch about either the course or the court. Therefore this years insurance still stands so I'm on the look out for a bargain furio (as long as engine is good, and bodywork is fairly good) that I can whack on the majority of my parts. Then if in the future I do have 6 points on my liscence, it can just sit in the garage until I can afford to insure it.

So 60-70mph impact crash i actually think that's held up reasonably well tbh, not sure what johns on about..i would expect to see less of a car at that speed especially the calibre of a saxo.
