well over the last cuopple of days havent realy odne all that much but here is what i have done

from the last updat just hade to tacke a fue more hoses, wires ect off and the head came strate out.

gasket was well and truly dead

then i striped down the head

then i took out colets, springs and valves.

then i took al the cr*p out of the zorst ports

and then took out valve stem seels

now its ready to go to be machined cleen and flat. so i took off the sump and started to take out the pistons and realised the conrod dont fit through the liners so may take the liners out or may justnot bother with the rings.

thanks

right wel better do an update havent done much over the last week and a bit as i started my new job but lastnight i went down the work shop and started rebuilding my head.

so this is what the head looked like when i got it back after being machined flat and clean.

also my bits arived. (head set, head bolts and sump gasket)

so then i cleened up the valves

then i recut my valves at seats. (no pik)

then put my new inlet and zorst manafold studs on.

then in went the valves, springs and cam shaft.

then on went everything els

and thats how i left it

right well got back from holaday yesterday and i think i was gettin withdrawals from the sax so done some work on her 2day.

1st job was to get out the piston and liners.

then i took off all the piston rings and cleend up the pistons.

cant do much more to the engine as i need to order some rumer rings for the liners.
now that was done we set about lowering the back end witch prooved to be a fu**er
and took much longer then pland after mooving the leg up buy 2splines witch is what i have been told is a good hight the hub was so high that i dont think the wheel would of actualy gone back on so it all came apart again and mooved buy one spline. wich i mesured had mooved the hub up buy 1.5" then everything went back together and once droping one the floor it seemd to have gone pritty low and the tire is just inside the arch on 45 profile tires on 15" wheels ???? have we doen somthing rong?? lol

well see forurself the masive drop considering we only mooved it one spline

befor:

now:

its made the front almost off the grond as half the engine is mising to lol

also while it was up in the air thort i shoul check the brakes and there roten and seezed soled lol so it needs new shoes aswell lol funfun.

thanks.

Some good work going on there mate, well done

Back end does look quite low, but it looks good at that height. Just drop the front to match it now.

Had a read of your dad's progress thread as well. That 106 should be awesome when done.
