Marshy Established Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: Plymouth Posts: 1,951 Car(s): Ibiza FR Tdi	I had a similar prob on my VTS about a year ago, at first I thought it was to do with the cambelt tensioner, but it turned out to be the bottom pulley (the big one that turns the alternator belt). The rubber part of it had badly perrished and fallen apart causing lots of play and noise from the pulley.
