well i followed the coil pack guide to gospel but guess what. the filler cracked and the paint lifted. nm though, i will have another go. but what annoys me is i didnt use cheap spray can paint i used 2k from a hvlp gravity gun. i used plastic primer. ahh well.

anyways the few bits i have done since last time.

1. laid down my stereo cables with the exception of my 0 gauge.
2. got the speaker wires in for my front speakers.
3. fitted some cold air feed pipe to the standard scoop on the front, before it was just running a standard open airbox, its made it alot quiter and i like it for it
no pictures yet of that.

today i did:

1. i ordered and fitted my dewiper using proper parts not a boot grommit lol.

2. fitted my de-aerial radio reception hasnt really suffered but you can tell a bit.

3. Fitted my volt meter so when i am up and booming i can keep an eye on my voltage to make sure everything is ok. i have wired the turn on into the remote so it turns on with the amps but it still picks its readings up from the back, so its give me a good indication of how things are in the boot.

comment welcome as always people

Default catch can making

well when i change my induction set up again i am going to be running a catch can. but me being poor i wasnt going to pay for one so que the photo's

one full can of brake fluid

5 mins under a wire wheels and 10mins polishing with some autosol.

i then decided i wanted the top satin black. so 2mins masking up the polished bits and a couple of coats left me with this.

dont worry the brake fluid went straight into the river and i washed the can out before hand.

cost: about 20p for the solvol.

i will plumb the feed in the top and drill a couple of vent holes.

update:

not done this in a while so here we go.

first of all i got the -35mm apex kit. a good kit and i am really impressed with it for the money.
fitted new top mounts.
standard discs and mitex pads all round.
a full set of T1R's which are very good imo.
i fitted my momo wheel and a snap off boss so no sod can steal it easily, it has also brought the wheel higher and closer making the driving position excelent.
fitted my carbon induction kit and catch can.
fitted my custom exhaust. its 2" pipework and a 2.5" outwardly rolled tip in stainless.
then i spent alot of time cleaning it.
I am still not happy and the paint is very thin so it will be going in for a respray over winter in the same coulour. i am getting 3/4 coats of clear done so i can cut back into it and really bring it up glossy.

and lastly all done lowerd, new tyres, brakes etc

the exhaust is loud but not offensive (sp)

imo the car is too low so i am getting some custom springs made that will bring it up 15mm not a massive difference but enough plus they will be uprated.

plans now are:

making a custom lower strut brace becasue i can and have too much spare time on my hands lol.
then wait untill winter when its off the road and i can sort it properly but it will be back in april as a new beast. im not 100% on the plans but it should be good.

enjoy y'all

C+C's

it looks ok in that pic but the paint is shocking no swirls but full of deep scratches like its been driven past a bush alot. and the paint is too thin to use a harsher compound.

how did you do the cables through the front doors? im doing this myself at the moment but failing to find the channel behind the spare plug slots that I drilled out... couldnt really see properly as was night time.
Did you use the standard plug or pummel holes in the car door and shell? piccys would be great!
Cheers
