M5TYJ - New car time, Audi TTS
Right having owned the car now for a few months and keeping it standard. The time has come to start progressing on with her.
I had not really thought about doing much to the car when i first got it, but since the idea has grown on me and now is the time to start playing im guessing. I not sure how far im going to go with my project, probably just till i feel the need to stop and invest else where.
First about the car.
2002 VTS Black, completely standard.
70k on the clock and just had its cam belt and abs sensor done. I got it for little over 1k as it had a knocking noise from the front suspension when turning the wheel.
My last car was a Corsa, which i had played with quite abit and in the end put an XE engine in, but it couldnt go round corner, all in all i loved the car and it was very good to me, but now i have moved onto the little french hatch
Hopefully a couple of people will keep an eye out and see what bits ive got and going on from week to week

Ive already slowly started getting parts together for the project!
266mm brake kit! ive also bought the goodridge braided hoses to go with the brakes, some nice fresh dot 4 brake fluid too!
Wishbone, anti roll bar, new bushes all around, pair of drop links, pair of cv boots, pair of track rod ends all purchased sat here ready to go on for the suspension knocking
Viper air filter, though am not sure if am going to fit this yet.... in two minds
Full adjustable Spax suspension kit, brand new. Got 40mm springs but ive bought some 50mm ones too! As i want to drop it 50mm all around, or maybe 45mm at the back. Which ever suits more
Door pods. I like my audio so ive gone for the 17cm door pods which am just waiting for to dry now, before i send them off to the upholsters. Should be ordering my Herts HSK 165 Components later on this week to, to give some nice sound upfront
Now for the engine work, im awaiting delivery of my ported and polished J4 head, hopefully tomorrow should be here. Cant wait. To make it pretty ive bought myself some high temp paint for the outside of the block, just simple silver. Helps notice any oil leaks! Also ive treated myself to a JP4 rocker cover (needs a clean)as i want the engine bay to look nice too, maybe all black and silver theme?

Thank you Kev, thank you for the pods too! Just finishing them off as we speak. Gonna send them off to be carpeted though, only a cheap easy task.

Check out Lippys progress thread. LINK
He made pods for the rear shelf. To be honest though the 17cm components up front are more then enough in my opinion.

Yes i think a really good set of kick ass comps up front with a excellent amp and sub will do me well. Some people go for 1000000watts and the worlds biggest amps, but i know if i get some serious equipment then it will be good enough for me. Going to sort out some sound deadening too, that will aid the set up!
