Yeh just been chilling out enjoying the car really, nothing too hardcore - will take a break from here/car over the next few months with finals coming up, once I get a 1st/2:1 it'll be go go go with the boost setup as I'll have a grad job to go into.
It's strange to say, but the part I'm most looking forward to is setting up the Spa dash and welding a cage in.
Thinking about this cage at the mo (with 106rr discount):
http://www.106parts.com/s2/page1.php...4=324&part=382
Or some sort of SD one
weight shouldn't be an issue I hope - plus would put a non-sunroof skin on.

lol, not quite - happy to rebuild boxes but only really for friends as not something I've got time to be playing about with !! Especially buying parts in bags of 50 from Citroen, only to need one!! Got enough balls/springs to rebuild a lot of synchro's !! Only wanted parts to rebuild 3 !
Slowly getting rid of the gearboxes I've got stored - only a couple more to go as I'll be using the Be one I've got

Well spotted !! It's just full of receipts for parts over the past 5/6years - literally everything I've bought for the car is in there, old Tax discs/MOT's/insurance docs etc. really need to start up a new folder now the car is taking it's next step as this one is past being full
Is just good to have records of how much things have cost/how old parts are - I'd never buy a car without receipts/mot certificates etc. as you know they've sorta cared for it whilst owning it

Thanks !! Yeh it looks a nice cage tbh, not something you want to skimp on really so I want to get a good one. Plus I'll be removing the scuttle 'wall' so want a cage to triangulate to the strut tops really.

lol, it's really not that bad tbh !! You'll open one up once, strip it down and be able to do it from then on - really quite simple and clever how they work!
I'd urge anyone with a toolkit to give it a try !! You won't break anything if you take it steady and work through it logically !! Just ask on here if need be/get stuck !

lol, well worth trying to keep things !! Especially when you service the car yourself, the receipts are the only thing to prove you've changed the hg or cambelt etc. !!

Got to get the cage option right tbh for this cage you will have to cut the dash and the bulkhead and it's a full weld in one, alot safer than bolt in cages which i'm not a fan of, it goes near the struts the cage does, once my cage is painted and whack some pictures up in my thread for you to see

That'd be awesome !! Cutting the dash etc is no problem, it doesn't need to look perfect - alsong as it helps to save my life should I crash then I don't mind !

It's nice to have some time off from working - waking up and seeing the parts sitting there just makes you want to fiddle
I want to try and get as many of the small parts as possible so they don't hold things up - got 2 months off in the summer to spend on the car so want to try and get as much done as possible then (funds permitting)
How's yours coming along?
