im been searching in this section for a while as ive been reading peoples veiws on different manifolds
problem is ive made myself confussed even more.
i read on 1 thread that a vtr inlet fits is this correct and something about cams out of a vtr??
also which would be better a 4,2,1 or a 4,1 manifold as im still confussed which is better as it goes to in detail for me, and which are good brands for money?
thankyou in advance

dont know all the answer mate but 4-2-1 is for over all power through out all revs and a 4-1 is for top end i think

are you asking will a vtr inlet and cams fit a 1.1? im only guessing that as you have a 1.1 in your little description, as you haven't actually stated in your question
and yes the 4-2-1 is better low down power and the the 4-1 is better in the power band ie higher up the revs

if your looking value for money for a 4-2-1
Raceland do a good one, though there is a tad modification need on the bottom to fit the gearbox bolt

also he will have to convert to the mk1 oil filter set up, you might as well get a 4-1, its a little more expensive but will fit straight on and for the price of the parts to convert to a mk1 oil filter you could have just paid a little more for the 4-1 so would work out cheaper

But would the VTR benefit as much from power higher up the Rev range... Cause it only goes up to 6250 ?
Im currently debating which one to go for too. The 4-1 Straight fit which is 168 quid, Or the cheaper 4-2-1 ( £150) which requires the oil filter relocating... Iv heard there is negligable difference performance wise in either of these manifolds to a VTR, but in general people say the 4-2-1 would probably be the better option to spread the gains evenly between low and mid, and also compliment the R's shorter rev range

i said it helps in the 'power band' which is higher up the rev range, so it doesnt matter what revs your power band is in
also on a standard car i cant see anyone even noticing the difference so id rather pay an extra £18 for the 4-1
