Haha, must be something to do with that then, I remeber pulling it off to try and sort the Servo hose out anyway. It did rev right up when I turned it on a couple of times, I pissed about with something and it sorted it to some extent.

Thanks mate! Came up really well I think, any blemishes that are there aren't that visible anyway, not that I'm arsed anyway haha.

I'm dying to hear it now, I've got a Fitting kit on the way and a lad has sorted me a Decat so I can get it on. Just need to sort out this Mis-fire then I'm away

It's still taking the pride position on my Kitchen counter anyway, don't want to get it dirty again, took me an hour or so to clean and polish the tip and Centre pipe Lol

Small update for over Christmas

So, turns out engine was on its last legs pretty much which would of contributed to the running issues (Some i still have).

Whipped the head off and gave it to my Mums parter who works at Rolls Royce machining Trent engine parts. The head was warped slightly on one side it turns out, after he took it too work to work on. So I sourced another and he skimmed, tested and rebuilt it for me. All good

Replaced the head and gasket, Fired up..Running on all 4 at last!
Or so I though anyway. Took it out for a short drive, didn't boot it for a while.. Kept it under 3-4k, Was sluggish and hesitant alot. I thought it may be down the the lambda, as its not in the manifold, but still plugged in, just tied up.
Turned around and headed home, thought I'd try putting my foot down.. Put my foot down, got up to speed pretty nicely, then Boom..Started misfiring when I got to 4k+ revs. And didn't stop misfiring.

Now, I no I lost servo assistance too around the same time, as I've had to somewhat bodge my servo hose on due to having a snapped lug, so its a thinner diametre at the Inlet end, So I think its that and it may have popped off.
I've sorted another top half inlet anyway, so I should be alright for that. Wont be here till later in the week/next week though So i'm stuck until then.

I also though it may be down to only having 3/4litres in the petrol tank, with it sloshing to the back maybe? or due to the fact I've still got a 1.1 fuel pump?

Anyway, enough of that shit.
I've bought some 283mm Calipers and Discs from a 307. 30quid
Sorted a set of Wishbones & struts from a vts as I'm going 4 stud now. I already have a beam, so thats good too
Wont be starting that until late january though and once my engines running decent.

You compression tested it again? definatly did the correct torque settings and degrees in the right order when you put the head back on?

Bad news like! hope you get it sorted

Yeah, compressions all even and decent. All torqued up correctly etc.

Just seems something else is playing arseholes now Haha.
I'm sure I'll get it sorted soon.

ooh, that reminds me. Do you still have that Decat?

Ahh bummer, no worries

yeah, thats one good thing to be honest I guess. I'm certain its fuel related though, Injectors are fine so it seems. Only thing I can really think of is either I've got the fuel hoses on the wrong way, or because of the lack of fuel in the tank its sloshing about and the pump may be taking in Air at high revs..possibly.

283mm Hur hur hur

New brakes, arrived today.. Slightly weary of them now though, people said they were going to be heavy..but fuck me. I nearly dropped the box with it all in when the Delivery guy passed them too me.

Also ordered a Decat and exhaust fitting kit so I can finally get rid of my wank standard exhaust in favour of the OMP one.

Sorted a Top half inlet manifold from Sam_16v aswell So that should cure my poor running, or some of it atleast.

Nice one mate! Yeah 15's I believe. Just need to find some average 15's to fit the new struts

Its just the Inlet and the Exhaust letting the engine down now I believe.
Exhaust I had on as a temporary measure has had it. It was from my old 1.1 and was blowing like hell from the manifold joint and the rear centre section. The exhaust had sagged in the middle and the rear outlet was sitting against the inside of the bumper- trapping the exhaust gases.

Thats what I believe was causing it to misfire slightly yesterday, and run quite shit..
Still waiting on a decat I bought last week..Until then I can't really drive it which is gay.

Todays/last nights failure..

Resulting in this mess..

Caused by this..

Gearbox thought it would be funny to shit its drain plug out at 70. Shit loads of black smoke from the back, from what I now assume to have been the Gearbox oil all over the exhaust. Drove ok though for another Mile until I got home. It was only this morning that I saw the oil all up the back of my car that I had a look under the car. Good job I suppose.

Good news is, I've put the new exhaust on after recieving a Decat finally
Sounds great, although I seem to have a noisy manifold.. its not blowing from what I can tell. Just seems to be more noise from there than the Backbox! Maybe its cracked, meeh.

heading down to a peugeot garage in the morning to see if they have the gearbox plug. As nowhere seems to have them, and the nearest citroen garage is about 15miles away.
