Default Rev Limiter on a VTR.

Ive down graded to a VTR, will be tracking this year but got a pain.

Ive noticed limiter is at about 6.2k? I'm so used to it at being 7k and 7.5k.

Just feels like there's more to go. Is it safe to go to around 7.2k on a VTR? Will be cammed and rallye inlet//tb.

Also can you up it on standard ECU?

Heard people done before but sounds like engine gonna go BOOM?

Nah Liam VTR's can't take much more than the standard 6,250.
You need to uprate the springs and followers, I've not seen anyone take a 8v over 7,200rpm.

Lad in the north east has a white Rallye 1.6 8v, has PH3's a S1 Rallye inlet and a Supersprint exhaust and i think it made about 135-140bhp.

I love the way it revs though, it revs like a bike!!!!

Personally I don't think it's worth it, I spent a lot of money tuning my VTR and although it sounded good and was quick, it wasn't a match on my GTI when I bought that completely standard.
