To weld to lower panel and bolt to cooler over weekend!

Got the car from Aberdeen....

Yeah, i welded a bar across the front panel to hold everything in place

I'm just going to weld 2 tabs from intercooler to front crossmember that way it can be easily moved or adjusted

Fitted exhaust properly today.... with heat wrap also as its a mild steel system, also fitted new track rods and track rod ends

Roll cage mounts now made up...... just need to mock fit with cage in car and then drill holes for feet in mounts and tack nuts to fit the cage feet
Also ordered some other new bits and hoping to get mounts welded in asap and interior painted!

believe its 3.2mm steel mate, and one of my friends works for an engineering company, i cut the material and he did the welding for me.... im currently doing a welding course but not confident enough although i'll be welding them in myself

New fuel lines and other parts here today, will finish fitting front brakes and driveshafts tomorrow

Doing a few things on the car tonight, trial fitted doorcards and bins, trial fitted polycarb windows and made up new intercooler mounts, few pics
new battery and fuel lines with few other bits turned up today, will get car back on wheels this week.... mock fit cage and seat, weld cage mounts in, fit brake lines then paint interior

awsom blog andy,great to see your sorting it all out.i always get satisfaction from trying to inprove stuff and make it neater.just make sure it dont turn into an obsession lol.
cant believe the previous owner put battery cables under the floor by the exsaust lol
good to see your puttin that intercooler right
car also looks awsom with the carbon etc

Thanks mate.... Intercooler mounts now finished, new smaller battery mounted in rear with new cables made for interior
Cage will be mock fitted tomorrow then mounts welded in

Few parts arrived today.... tow strap, new fuel lines and inline filter, hose separators and p clips.... will mark out and fit fuel lines over weekend, also mark out c clips for brake lines and then paint

Not much done tonight, got a spoox ecu engine mount fitted and made a massive difference in engine movement which is good as the turbo is VERY close to the radiator

half an inch away from radiator..... however there is now no engine movement at all, obviouisly there may be when driving hard.... but confident it will be ok :?)
