Yes the airfilter does look gash i know! came with the car! Dave F are expensive for an airfilter! I'll ask at RAW im sure they'll have something knocking around i can swap for!. Do you mean you have a real one or another rep? I thought it was a bit strange becuase it does quite fit and looks like it should clip in again but it doesnt!

Thank you, yes iirc german tax laws dictated the more restrictive manifold. I think its around 180bhp std and the M50 mani will get it to around 200bhp give or take depending on other mod. At the moment though i have only noticed increased fuel consumption becuase i need an OEM BMW cam postition sensor as its throwing everything out atm. So its not got its full potential. I have the sensor coming tomorrow so i will comment on here how much of an increase there is

the 328 is 192hp to keep in with the stupid tax bracket. the m50 let adds a genuine 20hp when matched with the bbtb.
323 was the same.

Right big update!
As said previous was having massive trouble with putting the power down and the overall efficiency of petrol consumption.
We first of all thought it was the none OEM BMW sensor we had put on so we ordered a new BMW sensor and installed that but something still wasn't right my mech went and tested it and he then believed that there was still something wrong. So we said right let's just give it a massive service.... Best off the cuff idea I we've ever had! The car is relatively new and I haven't checked the engine for service since I bought it! Silly I know but if it runs seemingly fine why check and I bet most of you had done so! So we ordered 7l of oil, new fuel filter, oil filter and 6 spark plugs super duper ones according to the box lol. When I say it was the best thing I've ever done, the fuel filter when we emptied it into a empty coke bottle, it seemed to fill up again! But it was coke! Just filthy fuel! Something was very wrong and no doubt been in the car since 1993 lol. Now dispite the overhaul in service it still has a little flat spot sometimes when accelerating in high rpm which I have narrowed down to now either mass air flow sensor, the adaption value need resetting so the new manifold and service all run in unison or worst can scenario the vanos is shagged! The petrol consumption now is noticeably better! Which I am chuffed about! And I got some vaders a bit shagged but nothing dye won't fix!

Yes much better days, only playing 120 for them and in installments from my mate lol. So when I get them cleaned up and dyed the whole set will pay for its self if needs be!
Yeh I was looking into it and I need some cqc cleaner or something saw some tutorials but apparently I have the "barn door". Maybe the M3 and evos had the type I was watching the tutorial for! I think it's more than likely the problem now she runs so much better now after all the parts that have been replaced etc! Just a few flat spots when foot is floor mid/high rpm. Also kangaroos a tiny tiny bit if my foot is a certain position in low revs. I hope it's that MAF sensor if not it's either adaption valvues or if not its gotta be the vanos :s

Coming along nicely. New wheels look very smart with the white paint!!
I think the front needs to be a tad lower and I'm not a fan of all the AC labels everywhere. Perhaps one or two but there is too much branding if you get me? My least favourite AC badge is the one on the kidney.

Oh right I thought it had more than that, its probably because all the new parts interior and engine bay are AC so my mind has seen it written on a lot of pieces haha.
Yeah getting the height just right is a right faf, takes a lot of fiddling to get it how you finally want!

Yes the manifold is genunine and says it, the alloys are genuine, the handbreak is a rep although very well done, the glove box panel and the badges ovi. I love the whole idea of it! Beemer scene love ACS, adds a bit more value than a bog standard M rep etc!
