Default Painting Rocker Cover

I'm thinking about spraying my rocker cover black. I don't want to take it off the car so plan is to spray it when on the car. Would I still be able to drive the car when the paint is drying especially with the clear coat. Might get hot and bubble

Ross

the dirt and dust coming into the engine bay as your driving along would stick to the paint

Also, if you cant find the heat paint in your colour what I did (cause mine was pink back in the day) I used white radiator paint to prime, and did a few layers of that. Obviously radiators = hot = like to think its heat proof. Mine didnt bubble/flake/etc and lasted about 6 months until I wrote her off :'(

Some people astonish me on how dumb they actually are. Painting the rocker cover on the car are you for real?

may have something to do with the fact you don't need high temp paint on radiators/ rocker covers.

only 'need' it on exhaust manifolds.

even engine blocks you can use normal paint.

i have hammerite on mine and it's fine never come off.
and the rockercover doesn't get as hot as the block.

This. I cant see the need for people using high temp on everything. Its shit paint gives a shit finish and only comes in basic colour's.
