205 1.6 pepperpots on mk2 1.1 desire

1.6 GTi alloys (14 x 5.5J) ET24
Saxo standard 4 stud steel wheels are (14 x 7j) ET15?

I know the offset & width is different but I'm a bit confused about what I should do to get these to fit properly
What size spacers do I need
Different wheelbolts?

Tyres are 185 /60 / 14 so will need to get the arch rolled?

youll need 185/55/14 tyres other than that they fit
use flat seat bolts (same as 90% of pug/citroen alloys)

had some on my vtr briefly

So I don't need to do anything other than change the tyres to 185/55/14 ?
& get the arches rolled just in case of rubbing when loaded.

What about spacers are these not needed?

Another quick question; will i get rubbing on full lock?

tyres you can use smaller than a 55wall, you need flat bolts not taperd

But surely the offset is still wrong and I would need spacers ?
Would it be simpler to fit 185 55 14 to the standard 14" steel wheels?

you would ideally want 10mm spacers and longer bolts to correct the offset

i dont get your second question? i thought you wanted to fit the 205 alloys? now you just want to change the tyres on your steels?

if your doing it for looks it will look terribile, unless there is soemthing else maiking you want to fit them

Nope not for looks, just want that extra 20mm meat per corner.
I don't care whichever's easier and will cause least complications.

yea it didnt sound like you wanted them for looks, theres a guy on here that had a set on his track s1 106, if i can find it ill see what spcaers/tyres he was running

no spacers used with the wrong size tyres so rubbed but right size tbh i doubt it would be very bad at all

I'm assuming that's a flat arch with a bodykit but unrolled arches?

For the rear How do I tell if its rubbing on the arch or the radius arm?

As for the front I'm expecting it to rub on full lock, spacers correct this?
will they upset the geometry if running spacers on the front but not on the back?

No the above is a VTR I believe, with cut arches. I dont think those wheels look bad, certainly better than some of the chav tat some cars roll around on

100% agree, I know the pepperpots are not the biggest shiniest in your face wheel but I would rather have those on than some I've seen that imo look horrendous.

the offset being incorrect means you SHOULD have more clearance to the flat arch
on my vtr they looked quite tucked in
