DUFC's Furio Progress Tread
Good day all, quite new to saxp and thought id do a wee progress thread, it may be slow but hopefully some mods in the near future.
Got my saxo last year and have done it up heaps since i bought it, looks pretty shit now but shouldve seen it last year, miracle imo. replaced lots of things, major things being the clutch, driveshaft, starter motor, slam panel, wings, full stadard exhaust, wheels.. The list is endless.
My plans are hopefully to lower it 60/70 mm, decent exhaust system, induction kit, and all the bits and bobs that will make it look respectable. Funds are short as i lost my job in february, and im only 18. So i started small today with a bit of painting. I painted the wishbones and lower chasis with weatherproof metal paint. Also painted ecu tray, and my rocker cover, and replaced both rear drums as they were cross threaded by the knob that replaced my tyres. Oh and adjusted tappets as the engine was a bit rattly, sounds brand new now.
Firstly adjusted tappets
Then painted ecu cover
Then gave the rocker cover a good sand, maybe not enough though
First coat of primer, a bit of bodge sand tbh, shouldve taken more time, ah well

Then done, happy with it but a bit bumpy where the sanding wasnt 100%
Tomorrow ill paint the rear drums, and paint the chasis legs. And tidy up the engine bay as its a fucking disgrace

I would've bought a rocker cover and took my time with it as its not a job you want to rush.
That what I did

I know mate, in hindsight i should have, but just looked at the bay and though "fuck it" and away i went. I know it looks lumpy a wee bit with the close up and the flash, but its decent without studying it.

Painted both drums, but one of the hubs cross threaded i think, just kept spinning, managed to get it tight enough. This is the third hub and its done it again
Anyway i used a wire brush to get all the surface rust off then slapped on some Hammerite 'straight to rust' metal paint. Turned out not bad.

Yeah, the original one was replaced by the original owner on my behalf, when i went to view it, the slam panel was rusty beyond repair, so the guy threw in another one, looked a bit dull and some surface rust. So just touched it up
