I've had it for about two years now.
Originally on 38meg, normally got about 33meg (wired)
Now on 76meg and get about 66meg (wired)
The speed you get depends on how far you are from the local exchange box.
As from there to your house you're still using the old copper cable and not fibre optic.
So the further away you are, the slower the speed you'll get.

I have BT Infinty, can't fault it! Never had any problems and it's been brilliant since day 1 of the service. Deffo recommend it.
This is the results from my speed test: (Wireless)

It makes me laugh how many people do a speed test on their phone and they expect the exact same result on their Xbox/PS3 but that's not how it works.
If reliability is more important than bandwidth, it may be worth connecting on the 5Ghz frequency as this has many more non overlapping channels and far less interference.

I was like that previously, expected my phone to get around the same as my Computer, silly Joe.
I'll give it a test when it comes, hopefully I should be sorted because my router now has a mind of it's own!

Guess I'll just really have to wait and find out

Well I know I'm not too far away, but there's like 900 mountains in the way.
Fucking valleys

Just been upgraded today to 60mb on virgin media. Supplied me a new superhub but I'm lucky to he getting 3mb down out if it now. I know the service has chnaged as the upload has doubled but it's a bit of a bummer more problems for them to sort out as well as the ongoing lack of bandwidth fault my whole postcode has had for 18 months

Fuck that's quite a steep drop? Worst comes to worst surely you'll be able to get money refunded, after all you're not getting what you're paying for!

We're getting this at the end of the month I think.
I have no idea what this means but this is it currently (looks pretty bad compared to others):
edit: it's shocking compared to others.

I have BT Infinity 2, they promised me 76mb on sign up and provide a steady 78mb download.
Very rarely notice the speed dropping either and I download quite heavily.

I did look into that but it was far too complicated for me! Don't know alot about computers.
I tend to use my mobile data instead of wifi when I'm at home as it's so poor.
Less than 2 weeks till I get fibre optic now though!

What are you all doing to get so excited about super fast internet connections?
I used to have about 8Mbps and that was enough for downloading a film in about 30 mins or so and playing the 360 with no lag.

Wireless on my phone I get 44 down, 12 up and 11 ping. The only thing that changes with wired is that I get 98 meg down. I'm running the top virgin media and running the super hub as modern only with a beasty three antenna router with gigabit pets for wired things like the PlayStation and pc. Great way to go, very reliable WiFi!
