Default 266mm brake discs

How in fuckerys name do I work out what discs I need?

I've got a set of calipers from a breakers on eBay, they're 266mm calipers, that's literally all I know. I went and spoke to my local motor factor who said the fitment is different for different cars, ie the 206 HDi 1.6 and 1.9 both come with 266mm vented discs, but are different fitment, I'm assuming hub offset.

Someone help a brother out, I struggle to dress myself man.

Which callipers have you got? Post a pic, depending on the calliper you need a 34mm or 27mm offset. I've just been through the same ball ache.

I'm assuming that you have Bosch ones, all it'll be is round or square pads.

Handily, I think they've got some pads in! So it'll be easy to check out!

There should be printed on the caliper the brand,Bosh/Lucas etc, that way you'll know what discs you need.

Righty, bit more assistance please.

I've established I have these calipers:

266mm BOSCH Caliper (Square Ended Pads) [Type 2]

266mm diameter
22mm thick
Vented disc, with a 34mm offset
5kg disc weight
54.0mm piston
~4.8kg caliper weight
14" Minimum Wheel Size [May catch on 14" wheels with inner balancing weights]

Does anyone know what model car they came as standard on so I can start getting discs ordered?

Take the pad and caliper down to your local motor factors. I had to try and find out what discs AND pads mine needed and they were most helpful at trying different stock off the shelf until we found the right combination.
