By the looks of that I'd be claiming off the warranty if you it's just "appeared" like that without changing any settings.

Turns out warrenty is out by 6 months, and I'm not covered by house insurance as it is "portable".
Yay!
Gave sony an email, se what shit they come back with..

House insurance would cover it if you accidently ... smashed the screen for example ... they fix the screen, turn it on, oh dear we must have broke the gpu aswell ... replaced

Ah didn't read that bit, it should still be covered, ours just states "electronics" in the home.
I know my mates broke his on purpose a few times, but I'm unsure if he used his home insurance or the insurance from currys when he bought it.
