I just put some solder on the end of the wire and clamped it on the terminal with the little clamp thing.

hi mate, nice guide but how exactly do you connect the wire to the battery? none of the images really show unless im just being stupid! ive looked everywhere for the answer to this and cant find anything so help would be much appreciated!! cheers, jack.

Wouldnt be hard to do switch so it only worked when the hand brake was on you would need to run live through the switch to oneside of a relay then to the boot popper then all you need to do is trigger the relay from the hand brake sensor or dash light a relay will use such small power that it almost certainly wont blow a fuse as long as the right one is used
