Any news on it?
Shouldn't be too hard to trace the leak?

Just under 120bhp I think.
Good gains if you ask me. Need to get a sexy cam I reckon. Not sure if there is much choice on silver top cylinder heads though.

+1 for a wilder cam. You really want something like a Kent PT41 to take advantage of the bodies and standalone.
After having the cam timing adjusted on the rollers, my old VTR made 118bhp ATF with a Kent PT40 and breathing mods. I found the cam (which profile wise, isn't too far off a Newman PH3) was really mild - the engine idled no different and was fine on the standard map.
Did atspeed say there was more power to come once the fuel issue had been solved?

Not gonna lie i was expecting much greater results.
22bhp increase.
Maybe its something to do with the fueling etc.
Saxomuffin dude you need to think if its worth caming to gain maybe another 10bhp for $$$, for the same money a 16v lump.
Srs @ 22bhp increase i'm not being a dick it just isn't worth it?

I've seen this car since the work has been done and have even been in it. I can tell you that it is an absolute beast. Its not just about the power, its the mix of the power, awesome suspension set up and noise of the bodies that make the car! Wes took me out in this on a private road (cough) and i've never been in anything that sticks to the road like this does, 85/90mph going round corners and it isn't even close to the limit. Unreal!

16v pfft this thing will rape a standard VTS so whats the point of putting a 16v in it... And a car isn't just about straight line speed/power... If you had an extra 50bhp on me and but shitty brakes/suspension I'd just out-brake you and corner like a boss..
This car is now set-up perfectly the handling is immense the only thing letting it down is the tyres I can't push the car to it's full limit as the tyres are poop...But I mean it gets the point where it worringly fast around corners how it just sticks to the road..
Every time I get in the car I have a smile ear-to-ear and I just can't see how that can be slated. And if I wanted more power I'd have to spend what I've already spent as I'd wan't iTB's etc...
P.S the above rant wasn't aimed at you just the sheep of Sax-P in general
If you ever experienced the car your view would change hence JRC1's epic comment!

Thank you! That's another thing there is another car set-up like mine so for it to be unique is another 1up on just 16v'ing it....

love the car muff, but im with drew... end of the day, a vtr/vts are basically identical, bar bigger engine, you cammed both engines the vts would rape the vtr, you cant deny that! 120bhp vtr cammed or a 140bhp cammed vts....
logic! although i completely understand the appeal behind what your doing!

I suppose everyone is right, you should have 16v'ed it because I know how often us saxo drivers take part in standing quarter miles and laps around are local maccie d's.
/sarcasm.
it will go on track every now & again, Muffin will enjoy it and go home a happy guy.

My 8v revs to 8300rpm and feels a lot more exciting than any 16v power delivery i've seen so far!

Not if theres a shit driver in the driving seat are you not forgetting this is soon to be used only on track days so for the fags that like a cammed vts purely for straight line power will still get raped if they have only concerend about power so yeah.. It's just a shame there isn't a trackday in which all you hating people attend so you can actually be shown that this car is an all-round car not just the fact it's a bodied 8v..

Indeed I do like your's will be good to go out on track or meet at some point.
There's still a long list of outstanding things on the car so it can only go up-hill from here
