Thanks for all the positive comments, really appreciate it ! Ive done all the work myself on nights after work and put alot of effort in so far! just need to carry on and get it finished ! will finish re-furbing my gearbox tomorrow so will have some pics up soon

*UPDATE*

After manny hours armed with my array of sanding tools my Gearbox is all clean , looking new and finished ! What you think ?

It mite sound crazy but i wont be keeping this gti box for long! as i will eventually put a xsi box in. But this one is the guinea pig for my secret finish

Also my little radio in my garage died
so quickly as a flash i rigged up some temporary tune-age lol

anyone know a good place to get my flywheel lightened and balenced ? Also mite not get a new clutch to keep cost down as i have one thats done 20,000 miles in the gti box and 60,000 in the vtr box ! Hmmm ??

That has come out really nice there bud!! Wish i had the time to get my S1 box cleaned up!

In response to your previous comments, Atspeed are selling lightened and balanced flywheels and Saxo_schott is selling a 1.4XSI gearbox for £150!! Bargain price!

Cheers for the info will look into Atspeed ( im guessing there to buy new instead of sending mine off ) and as for the gear box i really would snapp his hand off but im on a tight budget at the moment and need to focus my cash on getting it on the road and working lol so my box will do for now!

Quick question if anyone is actualy reading this ? Apart from whsmiths is there any other big chains that stock french car mag ? I say this because i travel all over yorkshire for my job and got into manny news agents just to be dissapointed : ( ! And its usually out of my way to go to whsmiths and when i do go its not there ! Carnt win lol

been de rusting the rest of my arches and under the back and painted it up, looks good

will get full set of discs ordered on payday wap them on ,rebuild my suspension and put my wheels back on so ive got a rolling shell so i can get it out the garage and have a big sort out in there! its getting full lol !!

also forgot to mention i mite as well sell my vtr 8v engine as i have no use for it anymore ! its done about 60,000 and been a good runner ! anyone interested let me know

Yea i know its been hid away in the garage for winter so she willl be glad for a good wash and some sunshine lol ! tuesdays payday (get paid weekly i love it ! )

Haven't posted in a while, put new drilled and grooved discs and pads all round and flywheel sent of for some lightening

Off to the garage on sunday will get some piks then ! mite wap the wheels on and roll her out the garage for a good clean as she hasn't seen daylight since december lol

yeah wish i did, but think my boss has sold them now lol, but when i have money i might get a pair

thought i liked the vts wheels but when i seen them in white on a black saxo, i werent to keen lol, so might get some white racin oz ones, but sure yet lol

its all about how much money i have lol

Yea tell me about it im on a tight budget just glad i got my team dynamics a few years back when i had a good paid job ! my mind runs wild sometimes when i think of all the stuff i would buy if i had the cash lol
was thinking of doing a full gti conversion today but ill leave it as is for now till i stuff it in a tyre wall lol
