so a quick 2 second dash to the shop turned into a bit of a ballache..
some muppet tried parking his landrover and the side rail caught the corner of my bumper.
Luckily however, due to saxo bumpers being so flimsy, it snapped clean off with the brackets all still bolted to the car lol which meant the car itself wasnt damaged at all

managed to crawl it home

and got to work removing the bumper which basically fell off lol

ordered another good condition bumper in the same quartz silver and chopped off the splitter with a dremel

then set about making it a clean equal cut the whole way round, which turned out to be a huge ball ache and took about an hour lol

then screwed on my old laguna splitter from the old bumper. 2 reasons for this, 1 is looks and 2 is that its bendy, so due to catching the splitter on everything on a daily basis it just flexes. The standard saxo splitter is hard plastic, so wouldnt last 2 minutes. I'd probably snap the bumper off the first speed bump

lastly, i swapped the tinted fogs over from the old bumper, wacked on my number plate and bolted it onto the car

Anyone want a spare silver bumper with no brackets and no splitter lol?

Ouch! Pretty lucky to be fair though, could of been worse. Should of taken the opportunity to get rid of the upward slats in the lower grille bit and smooth out the plate recess!

thats how much the guy gave me lol 200 good guess

it cost £50 for the new bumper, so worked out alright. I guess the rest just pays for the inconvenience of me sourcing and fitting it in this freezing weather!
annoying though, because one of these days im going to have to remove it again to adjust the panel gap

So my car was used for some filming for some car program on the discovery channel/national geo channel. Was a good day of waiting around lol It airs in august

Their professional driver took it for a few laps of the studios track while a camera car followed it. Then they took a load of static shots. And then they let me drive it on the track passed static cameras at various points of the track (i hope my mug isnt on tv haha)

The camera car
