It failed.
Back to the driveway for more work. We've got 14 days for the retest.

Should be an easy fix.

We were aware of the tyre haha. One of the rears has a slow puncture too but that wasn’t picked up on the MOT. We’re planning to buy some new wheels but the right set hasn’t come up yet.

Duuuuude, the lights etc are silly things to not sort before an MOT. Worn bushes can be hard to spot so i'll let you off there but the rest should've been picked up beforehand really.

I know man. We did the major work, like the disks and driveshafts. But we were pushed up tight against deadlines. Most of the work was done at night between our day jobs and working away. To be honest. We half expected the MOT tester to just replace the bulbs rather than failing the car. It cost us £50 for the MOT too.

What size is the bung for the rear wiper delete? I've been meaning to replace the gaffer tape on mine.

I’m not entirely sure of the size, we used the grommet from the boot floor ( common method).

Unfortunately, with working odd shifts and such, we missed our retest date.
However, we managed to get stuck in this weekend, and replaced the wishbones and fitted new tyres/alloys.

Not to set you back or anything as seeing after you ripped the plastics off and fitted new side wing you might want to check the following for rot and strongly advised as will take a few min of time to check and id advise with the rot you already found on it to check over the mas their a common fault design with the inner mud guard and shield.. Where your ECU is sitting on the tray theirs 3 bolts that screw in remove them and that tray will remove and come off. On the fuse bx side the fuses that are in a cluster will click in place and theirs a screw under it and also a screw towards bottom
Under my ECU full of rot, and pretty much same on fuse box side.
Is what I found on mine and just had plates welded and done both sides.
And to your question
Quote:
We also noticed that the driver’s side front seat, front left thread for the seat bolt looks to have been welded. Is this standard on Saxos? Or has this been repaired/changed?
|
Happens a lot as drivers seat gets used a lot more than passenger and often than not starts getting flimsy and if seats been changed not tightened back up or gets a bit of play in it or over tightend they brake down so they get welded up and made secure again.
