Nope... will be getting bollted back in unfortunatley
abit of AN UPDATE...
The car now has 12 months MOT finally!
The following work has been carried out:
- New front brake discs and pads
- New rear N/S brake drum and bearing
- Handbrake adjusted
- Headlight beam adjusted
- New horn fitted
So now thats the MOT out of my way for 12 months.. its time to start fitting parts
Will be fitting the drivers seat and harness in 2 weeks time (after my holidays )
also will look into fitting the baker BM hoses and new coolant intime for winter. Will probably replace the thermostat too
Them hopefully the cage will be 'ready' for my to bolt back in
Then move onto little bits like... the aerocatches eventually

They are not going on don't worry! I'm on the look out for some genuine ones
Updates..
got both seats in now
not it the best pics in the world but you get the idea.
the car is now crying out for some track style front doorcards
also the alternator belt came off last week! Looks like it's snagged something but I can't see what...
was a cheap fix though
whilst i was on holiday, the other halfs' dad very kindly welded up and modified my cage.
when I first got the cage, most of the welds were poor, and some welds had come apart with self tapping screws and tie wraps holding it together!
Now, the cage has been properly welded at the joints and modified slightly, also grinding down all the unwanted fixing points.
heres some pics...
heres a pic of how the cage used to look.. Before:
and heres here's a pic on roughly how the cage is going to look .... After:
i also also still have the diagonal bar to fit to the front of the cage (just behind seats)
oh.. And also it needs abit of colour on it
I have also had my manifold repaired, so I decided to heatwrap it. It is now awaiting to be fitted
so what's to do before the PFC expo show....
Plans over the next couple of weeks......
- finish cage and paint it
- fit the baker bm hose kit
- fit a battery isolator in the dash
- fit the 421
the. See how I get on
enjoy!!

Updates:
got out the cage painted this week...
I also got the heatwrapped 421 fitted makes the bay look so much nicer than the rusty standard one
heres how how it looks now
421
random pic
i have also purchased 2 10" stoney racing fans which will be replacing my 12" slimline fan to keep it that bit cooler
so over the next week, I plan to-
- fit 2 fans
- install battery isolator switch in cabin
- get around to fitting the coolant hoses haha
then see how I get on
hopefully have all all these done in time for fcs expo

Update:
got the fans on... Looks better, Allthough probably won't make much difference cooling wise haha.
still gotta get the hoses fitted, however I may treat the car to a new radiator
i did did manage to fit the battery isolator too looks great I recon, Allthough no pics of that yet
fans:
At the moment, I have both fans controlled by a switch on the dash board... However, eventually I will wire 1 fan to be controlled by the stat... And the second fan to be controlled by the switch in the cabin for when sat in traffic.. ETC ...

Thanks dude
She will be going on track eventually, but I am wanting to get some decent tyres and possibly a new bigger brake setup before hitting track. (y)
Afew updates.....
Replaced the old ken wood speakers with a new jbl setup
i decided to fit some 10cm speakers to the rear... Allthough front comps would have just been enough
Front speakers : JBL GT5 - 500c 13cm components
Rear speakers : JBL GT6 - 4 10cm 2 way coaxials
i then fit some plastic carbon wrapped doorcards which I've had from my old saxo.
these are temporary until I can find some streamline carbon ones!
i have also fitted the door bins since taking the pic
rear speakers
I then FINALLY got around to fitting the baker BM red silicone hose kit
had a bit of a nightmare with these tbh....
decided to fit them the day before the FCS expo car show... On Saturday!
ended up with a cracked thermostat housing and snapping the lower rear water joint to the block!!
Managed to finally get hold of these pasts by teatime .. And ended up finishing the job in the evening before the show!
This is part was worth more than gold that evening!! If I didn't find this, I wasn't going to the car show!
Only pics I got ATM..
And heres a quick pic of her at the show.
didn't even get time to clean and polish her!!
got a quick pic of my new OMP wheel
Also,I have tinted the front indicators with 'fly eye' tinting film. Looks great IMO and goes with the morettes well
Thats it it for now
i am looking into alloys still... Will probably be a while yet till she gets some new shoes
any comments??????

Yeah will probably end up with a flocked dash... eventually
UPDATE on the XSI...
Haven't updated this for a while... only because nothing has really changed since i last updated, apart from a couple of alternator belts!!
This keeps happening to my alternator belt... one side keeps freying? the belt seems to jump out of place every so often.
Any ideas? Belts never seems to be slack..?
Oh, i have also purchased these beasts!
Peugeot 406 coupe Brembo 4 pot calipers!
Complete with:
-Decent Ferodo racing brake pads
-283mm brake discs
-braided hoses to saxo/ 106
- also came with 4 x 20mm spacers
I am going to be refurbing these over the winder period... replacing all seals on the calipers, new lick of paint and stickers.
I am also on the look out for some 15" alloy wheels!! Need to have 195/45/15 tyres on.. no bigger!
What you got?!
I'm open to any style of wheel tbh....
Ideally after some pro race 3's!!
May also consider.... pro race 1.2s, oz superleggras, compomotives, speedlines... or even some cyclones!
Try me
Future plans/ to do list:
-Fit brembos
-23mm master cylinder
-15" alloys to fit over brembos
-195/45/15 Tyres
-upgrade rear drum beam to a disc axle(raised slightly higher)
-replace 4-2-1 (suspected crack/blowing)
Heres afew random pics of how shes standing at the mo
Comments? thoughts? opinions? all welcome

heres abit of an update.
purchased a set of wheels to fit over the brembos.
15" OZ superturismos wrapped in Toyo Proxes T1Rs 195/45/15 tyres to fit in the arch gap
obviously, both the calipers and wheels are getting a new colour change... But here's a pic to get an idea what they are like
wheels need a minor refurb, I will probably get them powder coated a different colour one wheel needs straightening slightly which was not intended but needs doing
the calipers will too be getting a refurb, both with fresh new stickers

Really like this it's kind of retro a cross between 205gti and a 106gti.

Thanks for the comments lads.
I haven't been on here for a while ... So I better update this.....
The XSI was sadly broke for its mods, and the shell was solt on to a fellow enthusiast who is in the process of resorting her.
I regret getting rid of this motor..
I then bought a Diablo red 106 GTI, which I love! But then shortly after was involved in a hit and run incident Damaging the drivers side door and rear quarter panel.
I then bought a Clio 200 Raider, which I currently own and love driving it!
The GTI was made sorn and is now my sort of 'track project' as I cannot part with it
It will see a track one day...
