Bit of a bump up BUT, ordered these resistors:
http://www.ultraleds.co.uk/resistors...1f8b7ba52a2d42
And these LED's:
http://www.ultraleds.co.uk/blue-1200...ed-p-1666.html
Now followed the guide, soldered the resistor onto the longer leg on the LED (that is right yeah?) put all the switch back etc, but when i press the button the light flashed once which was very dim then goes off. The light doesn't stay on.
Anyone know what im doing wrong? Only got 2 LED's left now. lol.
For the heated rear screen button btw. Any help mucho appreciated.

I have shut my dedicated server down today so i have had to transfer the pics from my first post to a photobucket account so that everyone still has access to the guides, can someone just confirm to me if they can see the pics in the first post. cheers

Cheers.
Out of interest, behind the little red cover thing over the hazard light LED is there a red LED or a clear one?

I have taken off the cover, behind the cover and the opaque bit of plastic there is like a hard plastic red cap and the LED is behind it.
Ahh dw mate lol I'll just keep the hazards red and make the rear heated screen blue

Went into mercades to get the cigarette lighter and they wanted 27 quid so as you can guess i didnt go back to pick it up, especially as the guide doesnt actually say what you have to do to replace the led!
But got some led's so going to have a go at the button in the next few days

At a guess you have wired the wrong resistor to the led and when its activated its blown either the led or the resistor...
The ones you need are Blue 0.4watt resistors, the brown band on the resistor should be closest to the led and you should generally find that the positive led leg will havea small straight bit of metal inside the plastic casing, the negative should be lower case 'r' shaped
Hope this helps... or just use a power drill battery and see what way it lights up... so long as its not more than 15 volts drill...
www.phenoptix.co.uk are a great company for buying led's and SMD's! highly recommended!
