depending on weather you have 40 profile wheel or 45 profile, you can go up to 60mm with a 40 profile wheel (reccommender profile) but tbh id lower 50mm on 16's. (cough* eibach sportline spring *cough)

Mine was down 60 on front and 80 on back. When i had 16's on with 40 profile tyres. no rubbing at all.
As stated.. id go 50 all round. Full kit though rather than just springs.

i would get eibach sportline springs and lower 50mm on the rear to, may need to do some arch mods, will defintely need 40 to 45 profile tyres.

If you wanted handling, then you shouldn't of bought 16's, i have 16's on my VTR, 14s on my westie, westie handles so much better, both of mine are lowered 50.. Any lower than 50 on 16's it rubs, mine rubs on full lock.
