firstly go for some mintex 1144 pads, these are immense.

as for disks i would just buy some OE disks, a setup as big as the 180 will be very strong on the saxo.

if you do want some decent disks try Brembo Max, i used these and loved them, great stopping power, i bought mine from GSF car parts.

with the standard vts 247 setup.

i wasnt willing to go 266 at the time so invested in some decent disks and pads, they were well worth the money.

As rhys says, mintex and brembo are the way to go. On my 283's they are awesome, dont get hardly any fade and the discs are solid. Braided lines also made a hell of a difference, as did the DOT 5.1 fluid

that what i used.

standard vts callipers, with Brembo Max Disks and Mintex 1144 pads.

it was very good, but despite the decent friction elements you just dont have the piston power of bigger setups, hence why i eventually upgraded to 266mm

So to upgrade just discs and pads you're talking about £230, and to upgrade to a 266mm setup your talking about £300? Is this right? (got pricing from demontweeks) If so whats the point of just getting discs and pads??

ive heard that the gti 180 brakes just fit on mate, same size as gti 6 but heard they dont need grinding unlike the gti6 ones, not 100% about that but heard from a few people that its straight fit
